The quality of teaching and the inspiration for learning rests primarily with the Tutor. The Tutor has direct contact with the student every time and has a major impact on the learning process.
A Lead Tutor is assigned to each school to serve as supervisors to tutors. They assign tutors to students, oversee assessment and manage our program so that Tutors have the appropriate training and materials.
Between the time the children are released from school and tutoring begins, the Childcare Specialist assists in watching the children and giving them their afternoon snack.
Specialists will assist Lead Tutors and Regional Coordinators with the input and management of information into our SES Scout Management System.
The Community Connector is someone who is involved in the community and makes sure people involved in churches, after school programs, and more know about A Stepping Stone to Excellence. They will assist parents who need help applying for the program, and will work with A Stepping Stone to ensure the children of the community get the free tutoring they deserve.
RCs manage a group of schools within a geographic region and ensure the implementation of our tutoring with fidelity, communicate with school personnel regularly and assist in continuing the education of our tutors.
